Prof. Ian Meyers, BDSc, FICD, FADI, FPFA ¡V General Stream Keynote Speaker
Ian Meyers graduated BDSc from The University of Queensland in 1982 and practiced in both private and public sector clinics before returning to the University of Queensland as a lecturer in 1988.
• He became a Fellow of the International College of Dentistry in 1996 and was appointed as the Professor and Colgate Chair in General Practice Dentistry at The University of Queensland School of Dentistry in 2001, and continues in this position as well as maintaining a part time private dental practice in Brisbane.
• Ian is involved in a wide variety of research projects in the applied dental biomaterials area and is currently an executive officer of ADA Queensland, amongst other appointments.
• More recently he has been involved with the RACDS in the development and examination of the new MRACDS programme. His major interests include adhesive restorative dental materials, diagnosis and management of the worn dentition and teaching and development in general practice dentistry.

Dr. Daniel Buchbinder, DMD, MD
¡V OMFS (Oral, Maxillofacial Surgery) Keynote Speaker
Dr. Daniel Buchbinder is a graduate of the University of Montreal, School of Dental Medicine (DMD) and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine (MD).
• He received his certificate in Oral, Maxillofacial Surgery from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral, Maxillofacial surgery and a Professor of clinical Maxillofacial surgery.
• Dr. Buchbinder is the former chairman of the department of Dentistry and Oral, Maxillofacial Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
• He is currently Professor and chief of the division of Maxillofacial Surgery, Department of Otolaryngology ¡V Head and Neck Surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York.
• Dr. Buchbinder has published over 60 peer reviewed articles and has lectured extensively on maxillofacial reconstruction and the use of osseointegration. He is a member of the multidisciplinary team at the Institute for Head and Neck & Thyroid Cancer and serves on the board of directors and the scientific advisory board for the Thyroid & Head and Neck Cancer (THANC) Foundation.

Prof. Magda Feres, DDS, MSc, PhD
¡V Periodontics Division Keynote Speaker
Currently Professor Feres is Chair of the Dental Research Division at Guarulhos University, Sao Paulo, Brazil and the coordinator of the Graduate Program in Dentistry.
• She is also a full-time researcher and Professor in the Department of Periodontology and a Research Affiliate in Periodontology at the Forsyth Institute, Boston, U.S.A.
• Professor Feres is a Member of the International Association for Dental Research, International Academy of Periodontology, Brazilian Society of Periodontology (SOBRAPE) and a researcher for the National Council of Science and Technology Development (CNPq-Brazil) as well as acting as a reviewer for the following Scientific Journals: Journal of Clinical Periodontology, Journal of Periodontology, Archives of Oral Biology, Brazilian Oral Research.
